The Global Geoparks Network would like to invite you to participate in the GGN online Workshop on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the Agenda 2030.

The workshop will be held on Monday 5th of February 2024 at 12:00 – 14:00 GMT.

In the workshop are invited to participate all the 195 managers of the UNESCO Global Geoparks and / or executive officers.

Aim of the workshop is the familiarization of the 195 UNESCO Global Geoparks managers with the Agenda 2030 and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the workshop will be discussed the following issues:

• What is the Agenda 2030 and why are the SDGs important for the UNESCO Global Geoparks?
• How can the UNESCO Global Geoparks contribute to the SDGs?
• What makes the UNESCO Global Geoparks ideal model territories for the SDGs?

During the workshop will also be presented the SDG template for UNESCO Global Geoparks and its aims which prepared by the GGN Working Group on Climate Change & SDGs implementation.
