QUESTIONNAIRE on the M 6.8 MOROCCO EARTHQUAKE

This questionnaire was created after the Al Haouz earthquake on 8 September 2023, to collect the memories and sensations of the participants in the 10th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks, who were in Marrakech in those days. The aim is to have a picture of how the earthquake was perceived, what the reactions were and what the awareness is of how such events happen and what the behavioral rules to follow are. The results of the questionnaire, which will remain anonymous, may contribute to the development of tools and methodologies tor the dissemination of information useful for improving awareness of seismic risk and promoting the resilience of the people involved.
Completing the survey takes approximately 5-15 minutes, as only the questions regarding demographic data, the perception of the earthquake and the position during the earthquake, are mandatory.
Considering that educating and raising awareness regarding geological risks is a crucial mission of the UNESCO Global Geoparks, we believe that participation in this questionnaire is extremely significant.
