During the United Nations Ocean Decade, it is especially important that we take the time to share good practices and ideas toward solving the issues our oceans face. One of the biggest is the marine debris problem. This symposium will include presentations from Global Geoparks as well as from the youth in Japan’s geopark regions. Let’s take this opportunity to network and share ideas about how we can solve this problem together.

The symposium will be held on 11 March 2023, in the Oki Islands as well as online, from 16:00-19:00 Japan time (07:00-10:00 GMT). P
