Dear friends, The Global Geoparks Network participate today 13th of October 2017, with a variety of events to the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction http://www.unisdr.org/2017/iddr/The GGN Geohazards Working Group and its coordinators (M. Watanabe and Ch. Fassoulas) coordinated a common campaign for the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction Several UNESCO Global Geoparks organize events, that can either be a public talk, an activity with schools or other groups, the implementation of an educational program, a small exhibition or any other light action. Geoparks are excellent educational destinations and through the events organized today but all around the year as well aim toraise awareness and inform about natural induced disasters (any type or kind you thing more relative to your case) and climate change in our Geoparks.
