1st International Seminar on Sustainable Tourism and Geoparks

The 1st International Seminar on Sustainable Tourism and Geoparks will be held in Seville, 24-26th November, 2017. Major experts on UNESCO Global Geoparks and World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will participate in this event, which is targeted to managers and technical advisors on Environment and Tourism, and enterprises, all related to natural protected areas, especially Geoparks. Geoparks will be promoted as the most innovative places for the development of Sustainable Tourism in the national and international tourism market. Geotourism will be presented as an emerging typology in the national and international tourism market. Tourism stakeholders of natural areas will be offered guidance to manage tourism in a sustainable manner. This event, celebrated in the framework of the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development 2017, is organized by the Andalusian Ministry of Tourism and Sport, and the Andalusian Ministry of Environment and Territorial Planning, where Andalusian Geoparks are participating (Cabo de Gata-Níjar, Sierras Subbéticas, Sierra Norte de Sevilla and the aspiring territory Cuaternario Valles del Norte de Granada).
